WORLD PASTA DAY Pasta Party! Make up several different pasta dishes with different sauces. Supplement with garlic bread and a few veggies on the side. Add a few fun friends and season with appropriate beverages and let the good times roll.
NATIONAL DENIM DAY Throw a party and invite everyone you know. The only stipulation for admission is that you wear something of denim. Even the table setting can carry through on this theme.

NATIONAL POTATO DAY Spud Day! There are so many creative ways to utilize potatoes in everyday cooking. They can even be the main course. "Whip" up several different recipes with different types of potatoes: sweet, Idaho, russet etc. Invite over a few buddies and have a great time. Or perhaps, you can prepare a main dish that is potato compatable. Have your buddies bring over different potatoes dishes to complement the main course. Have them bring over the recipes for their creative endeavors.
